Hello and welcome to my website.  My name is Robin Cowles and I am an oil painter and digital artist.  I grew up in Santa Monica Canyon and graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in business. It wasn't until after retiring that I decided to study art. Toward this end I enrolled at Otis College of Art and Design and took classes in fine art and photography.  I later had the good fortune to study oil painting under several master artists including Blu Rivard and Jerome Michael Brennan.  I like to paint landscapes, especially scenes along California’s coast and it’s bountiful wine country.  In 2015 I completed my goal of visiting all twenty-one of California’s historic missions and have begun to include some of these mission scenes in my artwork.

I am currently a member of the Palos Verdes Art Center, the Artists Open Group and The Artists Studio of Palos Verdes.
